Harris County Radio Services offers a unique training experience for any radio user on our P25 Trunked Radio Network. These training classes will assist the students in navigating and operating their radio, as well as provide an overview of basic radio theory that will serve as the building block to more advanced radio user training.

All users, both new and experienced, will gain additional insight into current standards in digital radio communication through a hands-on training environment utilizing any P25 radio. Theses certified TCOLE classes offer 2 hours credit upon completion.

After completion of this course, the student will have the knowledge necessary to properly operate a public safety radio on a Project 25 trunked radio network. The student will also obtain an understanding of proper radio maintenance procedures, troubleshooting, and etiquette. Law Enforcement will be eligible for 4 hours of TCOLE credit. ASK Radio Training
The purpose of this course is to ensure the student has a proper understanding of the Inter-Local Agreement (ILA), ensure each agency has proper ASK training certification for each agency personnel with key access, and create a secure method for managing the advance system key technology. If you prefer not to register online, please call 713-274-8818 to register. Note: All students must be users of the TXWARN Radio System. Please be sure to bring a laptop (with administrative rights) with the latest Motorola APX CPS loaded, a radio, and a programming cable.
